White Sox right fielder Carlos Quentin hit 2 doubles and a home run and drove in 5 batters as Chicago defeated the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Monday night.
Quentin now has 8 home runs so far this season and the White Sox offense is starting to heat up after struggling for most of April.
Gordon Beckham broke out of a long slump with a 2 run HR in the second inning to give the White Sox the lead.
Alexei Ramirez also homered and Edwin Jackson pitched seven shutout innings with 5 strikeouts to lead Chicago to the victory.
Adam Dunn also had a strong night at the plate with 2 hits and 2 runs scored.
Ervin Santana gave up 5 earned runs in 6 innings to take the loss for the Angels. No Los Angeles batter had more than 1 hit.
