Carl Crawford gives Red Sox 11th inning victory

In a game in which both teams struggled to score runs, Carl Crawford came through with a double in the bottom of the 11th inning to lead the Boston Red Sox to a walk off victory. Josh Beckett pitched 7 scoreless innings for the Red Sox with 5 strikeouts.

Nick Blackburn had a solid start for the Minnesota Twins, giving up only 1 run in 6+ innings. Adrian Gonzalez had 2 hits and an RBI for Boston while catcher Jason Varitek also reached base twice.
